About Kyra Scott
Who am I?
“Actor? Writer? Producer? I don’t know! All I know is that I’m here to do what excites and stimulates me as a young creative finding her feet in this exciting (and slightly terrifying) industry.
Being creative allows me to share my voice and take on others, I like to call this my expressive escapism (wow that sounds pretentious). The arts have always enticed me, whether that be singing in my living room to my grandparents, making an entire theatre laugh, or simply releasing my emotions through a pencil. I have come to realise that creating and performing gives me a joyful purpose in life due to the reactions and interactions it generates. By weaving my honest opinions on social and political issues into “dead common” text, I hope to educate audience members and leave them with questions floating around their subconscious minds.
My work strives to tear down stereotypes and normalise those uncomfortable conversations in life. I have a strong passion for inclusivity and accessibility for anyone and everyone – holding no prejudice against personal identity. I believe in equality and opportunity for everyone, because at the end of the day, under all this flesh and muscle (and political hierarchy) we’re all just a sack of bones.”
